LET'S WORK TOGETHER
Partnerships enable us to achieve greater results together. We are always looking for new partners and allies across sectors.
We work in close cooperation with many organisations, networks and movements in the region. Being a Global Platform partner means working together in an active relationship, which enables both parts to achieve greater results.
A partnership with Global Platform Jordan can help you to:
- Increase the capacity of your organisation/movement/network to ensure progressive youth-led change.
- Improve your capacity to facilitate participatory and action-oriented training with a high level of participant engagement – that will continue beyond the training.
- Initiate new youth-focussed projects and activities together, either supported by or in cooperation with the Global Platforms.
- Become part of an extensive international network for youth-led activism – where you will be working with inspiring, creative activists and political change makers from all over the world.
PARTNERSHIP EXAMPLES
Turning Tables
Together with Turning Tables Jordan, we have conducted trainings for young people in ActionAid’s community centers in Russaifah, Mafraq, Zarqa and Madaba, to support young people in their campaigns to promote social cohesion, respect for diversity, peaceful coexistence and acceptance between the general public. The young participants presented their hopes and dreams for the future through music, song and rap.
DAPP
Funded by Danish Arab Partnership Programme, and in cooperation with Ministry of Political and Parliamentarian Affairs and The Ministry of Youth, we have conducted Observation Trainings on the Decentralisation Election in Jordan. The Jordanian local elections were held the 15th of August 2017 and the participants from the training monitored and observed the voting process in different places of the election. The focus of the training was to mobilise and engage youth in the political processes.
UNDEF
Funded by The United Nations Democracy Fund, we conducted Accountability in Emergency trainings, to promote youth participation in governance in conflict affected areas in Jordan and Lebanon. The focus for the training was to empower and engage young people to challenge the status quo, because of lack of accountability practices in conflict affected areas. Young people were trained to create local accountability mechanisms to ensure better services. Global Platform Jordan also provided capacity building for front line government officials on inclusivity and participatory mechanisms when dealing with the public.
