Building Collective Power

Young people make up a significant portion of the world’s population, yet they continue to face exclusion from decision-making, rising inequality, unemployment, shrinking civic spaces, and ongoing humanitarian and climate crises. Despite these challenges, young people across the globe are leading movements for justice, organising communities, challenging power structures, and driving social change. 

Global Platforms was established in response to this growing youth leadership and the need for dedicated youth-led spaces where young people can build collective power, strengthen activism, and organise for systemic change.

This publication invites you to explore Global Platforms: a globally connected, locally  rooted network of youth-led spaces supporting youth-led activism and social justice across more than 30 countries worldwide. Through these pages, you will learn more about the vision behind Global Platforms, the different forms these spaces take, and the work young activists and movements are leading across communities, countries, and regions to build collective power, advance social justice, collective action, and systemic change.
